Information for participants

  • Mathematics building blocks for numeracy has been accredited with BOSTES. Participants will be able to gain 12 hours of registered professional learning by successfully completing this course.
  • Read the checklist in the Participant Activity Journal in regards to deliverables and sign off procedures for completion.
  • Each participant needs to create a personal login for the website using your @det.nsw.edu.au email address, whether you are participating as an individual or part of a group.
  • Once a login is created, each module, related lessons and resources can be accessed.
  • All lessons and modules must be accessed to receive the certificate of course completion required as a deliverable for the course.
  • Modules can only be accessed sequentially, i.e. Module 2 will only be accessible once you have completed all lessons in Module 1. Participants are able to continue to access past Modules as required.
  • This course can be completed by individual teachers by accessing the video presentations via the website. Teachers can also complete the course as stage or faculty group. The presentations are available to download if the teacher leading the course would prefer to present the Modules themselves instead of viewing the video presentations on the website.

Information for principals/delegates

  • Mathematics building blocks for numeracy has been accredited with BOSTES. Participants will be able to gain 12 hours of registered professional learning by successfully completing this course.
  • The principal/ delegate will need to schedule a session in MyPL@Edu for participant/s, the Course Code is RG00387.
  • The principal/ delegate must sight all the deliverables for the course for each participant; a checklist is located in the Participant Activity Journal.
  • On completion of the online evaluation on MyPL @Edu by the participant, the principal/delegate will need to change the participant’s status to ‘completed’ in the scheduled session for accreditation.

For non- NSW DoE teachers these 12 hours can count towards accreditation as TIPD (Teacher Identified Professional Development). Please see the Home page for the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching that are addressed in this course.
